FAQs

Q: What makes The Event Doc different from other testing companies?

A: Our board consists of top event industry leaders coupled with the best and the brightest within the medical and biochemistry fields. Our Chief Scientific Director has a joint MD/ PhD in Biochemistry from Harvard University. Between all of us, we understand the challenges of event production.

Additionally, we are also equipped to do both rapid, onsite antigen and PCR tests.

Q: What insurance is needed?

A: We are fully compliant with all insurance regulations. Many of our competitors only have their own liability insurance and they might not have a CLIA certification to perform these tests. They are also not insured to work at venues, nor do they provide guest liability waiver forms.

Q: How are your onsite tests different than at-home tests:

A: Our tests are all pharmaceutical grade, meaning they require a prescription and a doctor to order.

Q: Does your test detect the delta variant?

A: All guests are tested using a rapid antigen test by Abbott Labs, which detects the presence of SARS-CoV2 proteins. The sensitivity of this test is NOT affected by the delta variant as the protein detected is not the spike protein which has mutated into the delta variant

Q: What happens if someone tests positive on the antigen test?

A: Guests who test positive on the rapid antigen test the receive a molecular test (rapid PCR test from Lucira), which is used to exclude the possibility of a false positive test. The molecular test is designed to detect genetic material from SARS-CoV2. Similar to the rapid antigen test, the molecular tests for SARS-CoV2 are NOT affected by the delta variant. From here, we connect with the host and communicate this information so that event specific protocols can be set in to motion.

Q: How does your company staff events?

A: The Event Doc is a high-touch, luxury testing company. We work with consistent staff to maintain high brand standards and require a trained manager to be present at each event.

Q: How early to guests need to arrive before an event start time for testing?

A: This really depends on the level of staffing within your quote which is why it is important to discuss the overall scope of your needs before we share pricing. Each medically trained tester can process up to ~35 test per hour.

Q: Can your tests be used to fulfill travel requirements?

A: Unfortunately, no they cannot, but we are happy to make a connection to labs in local markets to help facilitate if needed

The Event Doc extends sincere thanks to Dr. Fauci for his steadfast leadership during the Covid-19 pandemic and FAPSE for their continued dedication and commitment to their mission of ethical responsibility.
